Thanks Matt!

I went with the Roth IRA for two reasons:

  1. The traditional IRA wouldn’t provide any taxable deductions.
  2. The Roth IRA is more flexible as I can withdraw my contributions at any time without penalty. I already have my 401k which I won’t be able to make withdrawals from until I’m 59.5 so this factor was big for me.

I heard of ‘travel hacking’, but haven’t looked into it. Do you have some experience with it? I have the Quicksilver from Capital One and it’s nice getting the cash back.
