See my Role Models aren’t like your Role Models
At the age of 23 they won an Emmy and they produce the television show you probably watch all the time
They’re the manager at your friendly neighborhood Seasons 52. They also have a beautiful daughter
My Role Models call Wall Street home, but they don’t work there. And just because they may dress kind of formal during the week, they still can throw a mean change-up
My Role Models like to shop at Old Navy. They’re also traders, but not the type that stabs you in the back. I’m talking the type that trades commodities. But if you catch them on a Saturday or Sunday, they most likely have the best jump shot in the gym
They are the architects that most likely designed the building you’re standing in at the moment, and they also created the App that’s downloaded onto your phone. Oh yea, they’re also all about the bike life
Some of them didn’t go to college because they could throw 85mph before the age of 17. Now they control the mound on any given day
My Role Models make me proud of where I’m from, and when they are the MVP’s of their sport, they let you know they’re proud of it (Home) too
My Role Models are on the team, but they don’t sell their Jersey at the ballpark, but that’s cool though
My Role Models fight in Cyber Wars everyday
They’re up from 5AM to 1Am just to make sure they’re ready to represent 40 year old you in a courthouse someday. (Hopefully not though)
They’re the the new kids in town out in Silicon Valley and they definitely have a “Paris Morton Music 2” mindset
They’re a hometown hero, an Olympic champ, and literally the nicest person in the world
They’re the ones who call the shots when your Alma Mater has a “4th and Goal on the 1” scenario
They own gym’s, aren’t too bad with camera’s, have their own podcast, and if you need your lawn cut anywhere in the state of Kansas, they got you
They wrote the movie script that hasn’t touched the right hands yet… but it will eventually
They live simple lives and they love their dogs. Well, really they love all dogs
My Role Models don’t have it all figured out yet, but that’s OK with them, because who really does
They’re silly, smart, and just awesome to be around. Most importantly, they’re just good people
These are my Role Models.
