Very interesting take, Alan. I know for some agile practitioners, the benefit of leading with the persona in a traditional user story makes it more relatable to the target user’s motivations and goals, which is very helpful to the delivery team. That said, the proposed job story format seemingly makes it easier to call out the specific problem to be solved without relying on other design tools (like a persona). Thanks for the post.
