Corazon de Pasto Encourages Change in the Sierra del Burro

At the Rainmaker Group, CEO Gabriel Holschneider works with some of the most innovative startups in Mexico. Gabriel Holschneider invests in projects that can change the world for the better. Many of these projects, including Corazon de Pasto, focus on protecting the local environment.
Part of the Rainmaker Group, Corazon de Pasto advocates for a sensible approach to environmental protection in Mexico. It recognizes that the current Mexican sociopolitical climate is most responsive to conservation efforts that operate within traditional commercial practices. Accordingly, Corazon de Paso encourages corporations to consider their responsibilities to the environment alongside responsibilities to their shareholders.
The organization is focusing its efforts on the Sierra del Burro, a mountainous region in the Coahuila state. This area is of prime importance for two reasons. It is home to many migratory and native species. This biodiversity is both rare and valuable. The region is also of political importance, as it borders the United States and has ties to Texan watersheds.
