Introduction

Hi folks! Welcome back to another GameFi Nexus post.

You’ll need a lot of healing to make it through Guild of Guardian’s harder player-vs-enemy (PVE) content. That’s one of the few universal rules in the game.

There are a few ways to approach it, like stacking lifesteal and healing runes or choosing Guardians with self-heal abilities.

Assembling those types of squads takes experimentation, and that’s hard to do when you just start out (or can’t access the game).

There’s an easy way to cut through all that, and that’s by turning to the best bargain healer in the game — Flix.

In this article, we’ll cover her abilities, how I use Flix in my formations, and how good she is compared to other healers in the game.

If you’re staring at Tavros on Token Trove wishing you had pulled the trigger sooner, this article is for you.

Let’s get started!

About Flix

Flix is a Fae with a thing for badgers 😉. She’s one of the few members of her race brave enough to come back to Elderym after they were harvested by Eldersons for their magic.

As a Terra support Guardian, Flix uses intelligence type gear and stays out of trouble in the back row. She also receives bonuses against Hydris and penalties against Cinder, but those rarely come into play.

That’s because she’s one of only two Guardians in the Guild of Guardians who’s entire skill tree revolves around healing.

Her ultimate, Fae’s Touch, heals your entire party for up to 24% of Flix’s max HP over a 6 second window.

That’s already a great start, but wait, there’s more. Her active skill, Quiet Prayer, will heal your Guardian with the lowest current HP by up to 42% of Flix’s max HP.

That’s not enough you say? Then let me throw in her passive ability, Divine Blessing, which heals your entire party by 3% of her max HP every 6 seconds!

You want more heals? Well, consider that you can roll an enhancement on her unique gear that supercharges Quiet Prayer with a bonus based on her target’s remaining HP.

In other words, the more wounded a Guardian is, the more she heals.

Her abilities’ may seem weak, but when she stacks all of her healing abilities together, she can bring back a Guardian from the brink of death faster than you can say “the dread”.

How I Use Flix

Actually, one of the great things about Flix is that you don’t really need to worry about her at all.

Since she’s there purely to keep your front row Guardians alive, she can fit in any formation as long as she’s away from danger in the back row.

She can do well on manual or auto cast for her ultimate, although you may find that you waste a lot of healing when she uses it near the end of a battle.

All of Flix’s skills scale based on her maximum HP, so you can get the most of out of her by:

  • Rerolling and maxing her robe to get the largest possible HP bonus
  • Rerolling her unique item until you get an HP main stat with the Quiet Prayer enhancement
  • Stacking the Titans of Terra rune to max her HP

Another option you can try is pairing her with Ferulia.

Why? Because Ferulia’s passive grants a 70% bonus to all healing effects. If you stack that with runes like Field Medicine and Front Line bonuses, you can effectively double her healing power.

Still not sold? Hold that thought…

How Good Is She?

I’ll maintain that Flix is hands down the best option for healing for any formation, and here’s why.

By The Numbers

So far, we’ve only been talking about healing percentages, but what does that translate to in real terms.

Well first off, it all depends on how high you can crank Flix’s HP. My 10-star Flix has 5.4M HP with a maxed out T6 robe and a level 40 unique item.

Without any other buffs, that works out to roughly this much in healing:

  • Fae’s touch: 1.3M HP
  • Quiet Prayer: 2.27M HP (That’s 4.54M with the unique gear bonus near death 🔥)
  • Divine Blessing: 162K every six seconds

Let’s not forget that these amounts apply no matter who the target is since her max HP never changes.

Other Guardians, like Ferulia or Tavros, heal based on their target’s attack rating. Nine times out of ten, the target who needs healing most is your tank... who has the lowest attack rating of any Guardians.

Let’s compare Flix’s numbers to some of the other support healers:

  • Tavros’ Void Ghost: 963K (on my 10 ⭐ lvl 164 Ikam)
  • Ferulia’s Nature’s Gift: 1.095M (on my 10 ⭐ lvl 164 Ikam + her 70% passive)
  • Aquiris’ Water Sprite: 669K
  • Griselle’s Psychic Link: 93.5K

Of course, you can optimize all of these Guardians for healing to increase those numbers. Even if you do, however, none of them hold a candle to Flix when she stacks all her abilities together.

In other words, if you use Fae’s Touch at the same time as Quiet Prayer and Divine Blessing, your lowest health Guardian will heal around 3.7 M HP with my current setup.

Don’t forget that her unique item, Field Medicine and Front Line can easily double her healing effect to past 7M HP.

That makes her unquestionably the most powerful healer in the game.

By The Price Tag

I’ll hear arguments that Tavros’ group heal is more potent because it’s an active skill as opposed to an ultimate, and that other classes with much higher attack ratings see bigger hp gains.

My counter?

Flix costs 4.50 USD on Token Trove to Tavros’ nearly 400 USD at the time I’m writing this.

On top of that, it was easy to farm Flix duplicates in the regional test from epic shards and freemium banner pulls.

There’s no question Flix is the better bargain, and if you’re just starting out with GoG, she’s a no-brainer if you’re in the market for a healer.

All Your Eggs In One Basket?

Flix is great because she can provide all the healing your squad needs by herself.

That gives you way more flexibility when you’re building your squad and choosing runes.

But what happens if Flix dies in combat?

The short answer is that your dungeon run will be cut drastically short. That’s the argument for spreading healing duties out among several guardians rather than one.

It’s true, Flix is very vulnerable to AoE attacks and knock out blows from Assassins. I mitigate that by making sure her power rating is never the highest or the lowest in the party.

That usually spares her from being targeted by enemy abilities, and my Flix is usually the last to die when the time comes (and it will come).

Needs To Be Maxed To Be Effective

The one knock I have on Flix is that you have to invest in her quite a bit for her to reach her full potential. That’s because her healing depends on her own stats.

That means taking resources away from other damage dealing Guardians.

Other Guardians, like Ferulia and Tavros, heal based on their target’s stats, so you don’t necessarily need to max them for their heals to be effective.

This is only an issue when you start off and only have a limited amount of resources to spread around. Still, it’s something to take into consideration before you go all in on Flix.

Conclusion

I can probably sum up this entire article with a single question.

Can you afford to buy Tavros?

If your answer is no…then flix is your…Fae.

As the most powerful healer in the game she can single-handedly carry all of the healing on your squad. That gives the flexibility to use the other four slots in your squad for whichever Guardians you want.

Relying on her can sometimes be risky, but she’ll rarely be in the enemy’s sights if you build her up early on.

If you’re just starting out with GoG, Flix is a must have for you while you discover the game and experiment with squad building.
