The Heineken Ad Is Worse Than The Pepsi Ad, You’re Just Too Stupid To Know It

You’re basically getting mad because this ad was REALISTIC by including IGNORANT people. It encourages productive conversation and debate to educate these kinds of close-minded individuals. We all have different backgrounds, different traditions, different experiences that shape our world view and ultimately our different opinions. And yes sometimes people grow up being transphobic or sexist, usually it has to do with their own insecurities combined with their ignorance. But they are human like everyone else. Writing off these ignorant insecure people as “neo-nazi”s is alienating and polarizing. Denouncing a productive conversation and debate with them is fundamentally regressive. When you refuse to communicate openly you are denying everyone involved of what makes us human.

Obviously an ad isn’t going to solve social ills in 4 minutes (especially when the problem is stupid insecure people) but it leaves the viewer with an open ended and positive solution: civil conversation about our differences.
