Stormrite is a game in development with Unreal Engine that will be released on Steam on Q4 2022 and will be available for Xbox.
Stormrite is an upcoming open-world Action-RPG set in the dark, fantasy-medieval kingdom of Redreach.
The game successfully completed the Kickstarter fundraising and recently adopted Enjin technology to enter the NFT world.
Stormrite NFTs on Enjin Jumpnet
No official confirmation about it at the moment but probably Stormrite will not be a Play2Earn game but more likely NFTs will be integrated as cosmetics inside the game, without an in-game economy for those. The main focus of the team is to go live on Steam so the decision to act with caution with NFTs adoption, after Steam declarations against ‘em, must be respected.
At the time of writing this article I find it difficult to imagine a future of gaming without NFT integration so I think Steam will change approach, but we will only find out with time.
In any case the opportunity for players to get NFTs on Enjin Platform, outside Stormrite, and use them inside the game as rare cosmetics looks very promising.
