I suppose if you are not familiar with physiology you could make those assumptions. I never blamed anyone or anything. I was obsessed with “making it” what that means is I didn't move for 12 or so hours a day. The AHA recommends for every 8 hours sitting you need to walk 45 minutes. I didn't walk 4 minutes. Strike 1: Non functioning thyroid. What it does; it regulates your metabolism. If it doesnt work you can take synthetic thyroid or one made from pig thyroid but it never functions exactly as if your body made it.
Low metabolism leads to… Diabetes. Diabetes is not just for having feet dropping off and going blind. It also causes the linings of your arteries to narrow by plaque build up. A person without diabetes can eat a burger and it is processed pretty well by the gal bladder providing bile to break down the fats. A diabetic eats same one and it does not get processed as well. This leads to build up in the arteries Strike 2.
Strike 3: Stress — this can cause your body to have an inflammatory response, which in turn packs the arteries with fat.
All of this is pretty well known. I have a BA in Nursing and understand the physiology. Tell me, why do some doctors still smoke?
Knowledge =/= action.
Since I had the surgery last year I have been walking every day 4–5 km. Pokemon Go helps.
All I ask is when you see someone with health problems don’t assume “ Did you eat fast food every day?” That is an assumption based on lack of knowledge. Sure people that do eat it every day have similar symptoms but it is not a blanket statement that covers everyone that is fat.
