I think it’s important. And necessary. And must become routine until those others get the message that it is no longer acceptable.

I am happy that you aren’t giving up now. I am happy that you have found your voice and you’re being loud.

As a straight, white, cis female I call out my racist, homophobic, and transphobic friends and family.

Am I defending myself? No. But there are others out there who haven’t found their voice yet.

They are scared, still timid, so if someone needs to be corrected regarding a fabricated racist right-wing fake news article or help with pronouns to describe someone’s preferred gender identity,

I speak up.

My lipstick stands guard. A warning for everyone that something important might come out at any time.
