Great article Ryan. I like how you go that one step further, to ink what you created in pencil. I also like to force myself to put something to paper, even though I’m not a designer. I still have to mock up wireframes and structure pages at times. However, it’s during the pen and paper phase thatI realise, I haven’t thought things through properly. That I’m assuming design decisions, I find it’s quicker to code when I have fully fledged designs, even if they will change later, than to get stuck during the development phase, because something’s missing.

I think I will start pencilling ideas first, then inking them after.
