The Story Room at Caz Cares

George S. Langan graduated from Cazenovia High School in Cazenovia, New York, with high honors. While in high school, George S. Langan volunteered for a range of local charities, including Caz Cares.

A local Cazenovia food pantry and clothing closet, Caz Cares serves the less fortunate residents of the Cazenovia area through a network of trained volunteers. In addition to food and clothing, the organization offers a range of services to those in need, including literacy programs for adults and children. The literacy initiative designed for children is called The Story Room.

The Story Room was created as a partnership with Cazenovia Public Library and operates as a preschool reading program for children of Caz Cares. Their goal is to introduce preschool learning concepts through reading to children as well as through play and learning activities. Volunteers in The Story Room engage children to promote reading skills and help them learn.
