MEDICAL USE OF RISPERDAL


Risperdal is an anti-psychotic drug which is used to cure mental diseases such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, autism etc. In this article we will talk about the medical use of Risperdal medicine for various brain diseases. For schizophrenia, it is efficient in treating the sharp exacerbations of it. Various studies evaluates that the utility of Risperdal in oral shape or in tablet shape have reached many evaluations. There is a strong proof that this medicine is extremely effective than all other antipsychotics which was generated or invented before.

But utilisation of risperidone side effects in injection form appears to provide the similar effects just like the first generation of antipsychotics. It is also effective in treatment of overexcited symptoms in sharp manic of bipolar disorder. It may be effective than divalproeux in case of adults and children, but many studies has revealed that it has more metabolic side effects too.

As in the form of injection, it is beneficial in case of bipolar disorder than the first generation of antipsychotics, because long time use of inject able formulations of first generation antipsychotics has a great chance in increase the risk of depression. In case of autism, it reduces the problematic behaviours in autistic children than placebo. There are various evidences for the efficacy of Risperdal in autistic adults and young adults is very less influential. But, Risperdal doesn’t provide any benefit in case of eating disorder such as weight gain. Also it has no effect when used in the case of dementia, and patient may lead to death.
