How is this argument dead? Being a parent means having to make a lot of sacrifices. You don’t seem to want to make the sacrifices and instead expect others to accommodate you and your parenthood. If you are unable or unwilling to make the necessary sacrifices to be a parent, you shouldn’t be a parent, period. Being a parent isn’t a free pass to get unlimited time off of work, or expect to get paid more for the same job, or to get sympathy when the extra difficulty you’ve given yourself catches up to you and you can’t or won’t handle it.

Sorry, Jaymee, but part of being an adult is accepting responsibility when you make decisions, whether it be to have a child or to miss work when you desperately need a paycheck to support yourself and your family.
