GetGems update #24 — May 23, 2016
In this update we explain the Final Funding Milestone, GetGems 3.0 for Android, celebrate over 155,000 registered users and we examine how the Attention Economy is evolving.
Final Milestone Reached!
The last milestone for GetGems funding was achieved. We thank you all for your patience and support in getting to this point. There is much more on the horizon.
GetGems for Android version 3.0
This GetGems Android version has been updated to comply with Telegram 3.8.1, and we have added a “Hide Message Read” function. In addition, there are now menu items for GetGems and Chat Settings providing a wider range of choices.
Another new feature is being able to change the color theme, which is handy when you want to differentiate from other apps running on your device.
The AE Roadmap
The overall direction for GetGems is to leverage the Telegram ecosystem. The latest Android update has added room for bots and channels developed by other community members.
We are also constantly improving the keyboard functionality, and we truly believe that a keyboard is the most “important real estate” on the phone.
From our business development experience so far, our user base is too small to currently attract outside advertisers. There is no point in pumping more ad options for advertisers at this point of time. There is a reason why all the big companies started building ads tools much later in their product lifetime.
Telegram has an enormous users base, thus we’re focused on features that can bring users from Telegram to GetGems.

Withdrawals issues being experienced are not connected to GetGems, but are Poloniex issues with Counterparty and the Counterparty devs are working to resolve them: http://bit.ly/1Tz25OV. We’re discussing with Poloniex regarding keeping Gemz listed.
