Nas gets acquitted of Andrea’s murder, but in the process, goes from an “innocent” kid to a hardened criminal. The murder goes unresolved, because this case/story is about Nas’s guilt or innocence, not who killed Andrea. As we’ve seen in real-life examples (Serial, Making a Murderer), when cops target an individual, other facts/discrepancies are left to the side to target a conviction, and not to get to the truth.

Obviously, the cat did it.
