How can the GBX change token sales?
The GBX is a subsidiary of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange (GSX), which is a regulated exchange within the EU. Our experienced team have brought a wealth of knowledge to apply governance and a rules-based system within the crypto-space.
The GBX has created rules for launching a token sale through the GBX Grid. We are also creating a new industry standard for the conduct of issuers and their continuing obligations to the holders of their tokens. We want to cement the responsibility of token issuers to fulfill the commitments they make in their white papers.
Using a ‘first in class’ approach and best practices from the Gibraltar Stock Exchange, the GBX will establish a high entry bar in a controlled environment for token sales. We will only be accepting projects that adhere to our comprehensive rules and requirements. Only projects that satisfy our two-tier due diligence (Sponsor Firm introduction to the GBX) will be considered. These parameters are guided and continuously developed through community consensus by the GBX Alliance.
Market participants can feel confident in an exchange and token sale platform that holds governance, transparency, and accountability at the heart of its practice.
What is a Sponsor Firm?
Sponsor Firms are the first point of contact for any token sale and experts which guide you through the whole listing process. They will help manage the token sales application process, conducting initial KYC and due diligence (including technology).
Sponsor Firms are a token issuer’s point of contact with the GBX on all matters including the payment of fees. Sponsor Firms must also hold a stake in the tokens they help bring to market. This ensures they are committed to the project and believe in its success.
They must also uphold the quality, integrity, and reputation of the GBX and Gibraltar as a jurisdiction.

What are the benefits of launching through the GBX?
Projects that launch through our token sale platform, GBX Grid, will be initially incentivised by the large pool of AML/KYC crypto-enthusiasts looking to participate in trusted token sales.
No longer will your project need to concern itself with sourcing methods for KYC participants. This is entirely conducted by the GBX. The tokens that launch will have the opportunity to trade on the GBX secondary market, offering an advantage to the current challenges of getting listed on exchanges.
