On 17th and 18th April, the GBX team was invited to co-host the Global Inclusive Blockchain Conference organised by Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). During the conference, the GBX held private sessions bringing together speakers and panels of professionals from different industries to discuss the future of the blockchain industry.
Nick Cowan, CEO of the GSX Group opened the private session with a welcome speech. He talked about the GBX journey so far and the Sponsor Firms that have been approved and are still to come. Nick also introduced the GSX Group structure and the GBX — GSX financing pathway to bridge the gap between traditional and crypto markets.
Benjamin Soh, Executive Director of the GBX, delivered the second keynote about the launch of the GBX Grid, our token launch centre. He spoke about the process behind how tokens can be listed on the platform and the benefits and risk mitigation the Grid offers to both the issuers and participants.
Throughout the sessions, our panellists also provided insight into regulatory challenges faced in different countries while emerging into this new digital economy. Other topics include the future of token structure trends, whether cryptocurrency can become a mainstream investment asset and new opportunities for entrepreneurs in the blockchain industry. The insightful panels each followed with engaging Q&A sessions for lively discussions with the audience.
On the second day of the event, David Wang, Executive Director for the GBX, took part in a panel titled: “What standards are needed?” The discussion revolved around the consensus that industry best practices need to be raised to ensure a bigger and brighter future within the community.
