No. I am wary of absolutism because it stifles the opportunity for healthy discussions. Government has a role to play in influencing prices especially farming inputs like fertilizer.

You get subsidised inputs and you provide lower priced output to the domestic market. I can see how that makes sense. I also agree that absolutism on a lot of principles is not appropriate.
My questions are:
- is there an agreed/transparent formula for the supply of subsidised fertiliser to the domestic market; and
- how does government prevent round-tripping where cheap domestic fertiliser, rather than ending up in Nigerian farms, are shipped out and sold? (Especially given how porous our borders are and the high levels of corruption/leakages in our country.)
