Lie

It’s true that honesty is the best policy. It’s just fun to fib now and again. Not in a dirty and deceptive way, but in a way that invokes imagination. Just for today’s challenge, it’s okay to stretch the truth a little.

Why is telling a lie such a bad thing?

Personally, I see there being a time and a place to tell a fib. As long as it is not to gain an advantage over someone at their expense, I see it being pretty ok to bend the truth.

Ill keep this one brief because I can’t compose a situation where telling an alternate truth would be fun to me. Porbably side stepping the whole point of the challenge, but I am also playing catch up as well!

What situations are acceptable for telling a lie? Well, if you had to lie (to just bend the truth, lets say), to make someone feel happy in a certain situation, wouldn’t you? It’s one thing to lie to take advantage of something, but its a totally different kettle of fish when you lie in order to save someone some hurt.

The truth will set you free

While this statement is incredibly true, it could be said that the truth will work in the opposite way in some instances.

I am not advocating to going flat out and lie your head off, I am advocating being aware of peoples feelings. And when the time is right, tell a little white lie.
