Hi!
We're a company of 15 GIS artisans based in Finland. We solve geospatial problems with open source solutions. In this blog we share our knowledge with the world.
Our blog consists of "how to" guides, case studies from our projects, data analysis, introductions to new GIS tools and much, much more! We aim to publish a new article once a month.
From our articles you will bump into programs such as QGIS, PostGIS and GeoServer. The articles may also include Python, R, and other programming languages. We also use various open source datasets such as OpenStreetMap.
Our values:
We believe open source software, open code, and open data can truly help to solve major humanitarian, economical and ecological challenges.
We believe GIS belongs to everyone regardless of one’s background. Everyone should have equal chance of learning and utilizing GIS. That’s why we’re open.
Other than GIS articles, we offer:
- consultation on geospatial problems around the globe
- developing of new open source tools that are free for everyone to use
- training courses to help you expand your GIS skills with QGIS, PostGIS and GeoServer
- support for all the users of FOSS4G tools ("Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial" tools)!
