Idk if viewed from afar neither side seems to want to win. Democrats are actually against the will of the public on a number of issues and their importance. The fight over bathrooms for instance when you consider the number of people effected seems bizarre. The way they portray every single issue as being them on the side of righteousness versus the heathen masses when in many cases Democrats themselves held the other position at least publicly only a handful of years ago. Seems unbelievably hypocritical from the party that usually lectures the other side for that kind of thing. Then you have the Republicans who made Donald Trump the face of their party. That last thing seems to have made those in control of the Democrat party think that they don’t have to do anything. Which is part of why they lost last November.
