Repealing the Orwellian named ACA wouldn’t be stripping healthcare from anyone. Despite phony projections from the CBO about what things would look like close to a decade from now. Without a mandate to buy insurance many of those millions are people who would on their own decide not to purchase it.
My family’s plan cost us over $15k per year. While our expenses would go up without that plan we would have $15k more with which to pay them. Most of those expenses are routine expenses which should be paid by individuals instead of insurance. Why? People paying their own bills spend their money more efficiently and effectively than a third party. What is the best way to determine if I need a painkiller, physical therapy, visit a chiropractor, etc…? Whether or not I am willing to pay the cost of it. Our current system is like an all you can eat buffet for healthcare. Out of pocket costs are only around 10% of all expenditures. That is why we spend so much money on it. Just in case you were wondering changing that third party from a private insurer to a public one wouldn’t change that at all.
