The world would be a better place if everyone respected each other. That being said the stories seemed strange in that regard. The male being willing to get a plan b pill for the female? That is in his best interest because if she were to get pregnant and have the child it is he who society would assign responsibility and child support.

In another scenario the male seemed to being asked to not have contact with the female because it would be awkward. That is just juvenile stupidity. There seem to be some in society that want sex to be casual, not important, just sex. You cant have it both be casual and awkward though right? If it has to be that way why is that? Is the person not important they just wanted to use that person for sex and it becomes “awkward” when they don’t? This used to be considered repulsive by females when males did it, but now seems to be ok and has to be respected if a female does it? Seems like they had it right the first time. I mean why would rape even be a crime if it was casual and not important. It is a crime because it is devastating and the reason that is the case is it that isn’t casual.

Sorry if that is confusing, but I am just trying to tie together the various bits of logic. Short answer is that the author defines respect as males acting the way females want. It would be interesting to see her feedback on an article that flipped the roles there. Empathy and respect cut both ways. In most circumstances neither side is perfect and both could do better. Though it is popular these days to simply try to take on men or more specifically white men.
