You disagree about the industry being over regulated and then immediately state all the ways the government has its hands in everything. My point is that with the government so heavily involved and essential to the ways these airlines do business that of course customers don’t matter. You saying that we need more regulations is saying we need more government involvement when that is part of the problem in the first place. That is the problem in industries where companies are too big too fail and the scope of these things are so large that competition is extremely limited. These aren’t competitors as much as they are different divisions of the US airline industry.
