Repeat After Me — Torture Doesn’t Work
Matthew Gault

Having undergone POW resistance training in USAF in 1980s, I can assert that, yes, torture does work, because every human being has a breaking point…. That’s why the course was set up… to teach you methods to resist duress. But as our POW code of conduct teaches,

Article V:

When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

Moreover, while Trump may believe that torture works, he has deferred the matter to those who know best: DoD & CIA.

The bottom line: Yes, torture does work. Whether the United States should use it is another matter completely.
