Problem is more widespread than Google. For example, Google search [no pun intended] “Corporations pay for scientific research that’s favorable to them” and you get the picture.

I suppose it is endemic to the issue of funding research: How many corporations will pay for studies that make them look bad or confirm that their product(s) suck?

For scientists, the answer is simple: Facts nothing but the facts; anything else is not science. The truth will set you free…

For the corporation: If you can’t handle the answer, don’t ask [or pay] for the question…
