Julius Randle Working to Improve

Glenaldo Gregorio Pena currently serves as director of fiscal services for Acalanes Union High School District in Contra Costa County, California. Outside of his work pursuits, Glenaldo Gregorio Pena enjoys following many California sports teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lakers’ forward Julius Randle appears to be focusing all his efforts toward improving and making himself a factor for the team next season.

Randle has spent most of the summer running two-a-day practice sessions, the majority of which have been focused on improving his jumper. He has also been working on his inside game, and appears to be great shape as he has ever been, according to media reports.

Randle also recently practiced with the U.S. men’s select team, where he got to scrimmage against the U.S. Men’s Olympic national team, which will be going for its third straight gold medal in this year’s summer games in Rio.

One of the major criticisms of Randle’s game is that he lacks overall finesse and polish, sometimes being characterized as clunky in his ball handling and inside game. Still, he averaged a double-double last season (11.3 points, 10.2 rebounds) and has been working on developing his shooting throughout the off-season.

Along with D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson, Randle hopes to lead a youth movement in Los Angeles that will serve as the team’s foundation for years to come.
