Interesting piece. I am currently looking for a team to play for and have two independent league offers for 2017. Thought about doing the desert league since it is the only league available in the fall/winter. (unless you go out of country) There is also the California winter league that goes from January to February but there is also a hefty fee for that league but they do give you housing, transportation, and two meals a day.
