This sounds strikingly similar to my story. I played baseball at a division one college for 4 years. I was told I was good enough to get drafted and I assumed that my coaches would help me get picked up. That was a huge mistake. Other players on my team had agents working for them which I found out about after the draft. I am continuing my career and I have a couple independent ball offers for the 2017 season.
