I often do this kind of exercise, like stepping into imaginary circles in my room, where one circle is the reality of having made choice A, then the other is the reality of choice B. And seeing how it feels to 'be there now'.

It helps, because you're right - usually I have a preference but am trying to convince myself of the more rational, safer option...
