Get to know the Game Series 5 — Vehicles and Companions

The Gold Fever jungle may feel like a lonely and terrifying place. Harsh weather conditions can leave you drenching wet or even close to death in the worst-case scenario. All of this while wild animals and other gold-thirsty players may be lurking in the shadows in order to attack you and take your possessions, along with your life.

Luckily, you won’t have to face all these perils yourself or venture into these journeys by your lonesome. Besides the members from your own faction, you’ll also be able to pick four-legged companions and even choose from an array of vehicles to help you on your quest for riches as you venture into the depths of the jungle.

In this segment of our “Get to know the Game” series, we’ll be taking a look at how animal companions and vehicles work, where to obtain them, and how they offer you an edge over other players.

Boats and planes

Vehicles are essential for both transportation and survival. They may be the only thing standing between you, your treasure, and certain death. They’ll be elementary in getting your hard-earned gold safely to the base.

Boats can be found on piers and they’ll be your best bet when it comes to crossing most rivers within the game. Several players can hop into the same boat, loading their animal companions and equipment aboard While one player is responsible for piloting the boat, others should be on the lookout and ready to shoot and kill any threat on sight.

Planes, on the other hand, can be found on an airfield near the city where players first spawn. They are relatively easy to pilot, just make sure you have enough room to take off. Be aware that on this alpha version, the plane won’t explode on impact and it will be impossible to load cargo on it.

Be aware that vehicles will wear down with use. In order to keep them fully operational, make sure to repair them when necessary at their designated airfields or boat piers.

Man’s best friend

Beyond the normal vehicles, you’ll also be able to recruit horses or donkeys on specific staples. Once you buy or rent one of these animals, together with the right saddle, they’ll be able to carry your items for you and allow you to navigate the map faster.

It is also possible to get a guard dog that will follow you around at all times. Although you can’t mount the dog or use him to carry items, he will offer invaluable help in combat, a feature that will come in further updates.

All in-game items, from vehicles to companions, are represented by a non-fungible token (NFT) which can be bought, sold, or rented to other players. Our development team also aims to make breeding available in the future, allowing players to assume the in-game profession of breeders and generate income by mating companions and generating rare NFTs.
