yeah, even though this was the thrust of my last piece — with “attention” as one of various infrastructural elements — I think that the concept was more useful as a lens than a comprehensive description.

Part of the appeal of trying to describe it in purely infrastructural ways is the hope that infrastructural changes may be easier to effect than cultural/values ones.

I think it would be interesting to see how infrastructural differences lend themselves to/ facilitate emergence of different value systems
