Day 2 — Thoughts on RWBY, Part 2
RWBY is a fast paced action packed fighting series, that has some of the best fighting choreography that you will ever see. There are four main characters, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang (RWBY). They each posses a unique weapon and a unique set special abilities. They also have an ultimate known as their semblance, which is a an ability which their fighting style is characterized after.
A great achievement of the series is that RoosterTeeth, the producers of the show, have been able to script fighting sequences where something I like to call power level creep doesn’t shape the roles of the characters. Series such as Bleach, Dragon ball, Naruto, etc. all follow the same formula where characters are facing increasingly powerful enemies and the main characters have to “level up” — Rocky style, in order to actually stand a chance at winning.
Although there are some characters, such as Pyrrha Nikos — that are portrayed as being leagues ahead of other characters. The skill ceiling is exponential, such that it is not unfathomable to believe that others will eventually catch up to their proficiency through hard work. I would argue that is is comparable to real life skill ceilings where people are only able to obtain a certain proficiency before the training required to become better is unfeasible.

What this all means is that the fighting sequences are much tighter and all of the characters (well except Jaune Arc) have a conceivable chance of winning a fight.
