I wrote this poetry in response to @Ohioleh’s ‘of the poem I wrote for her’ which tugged at the strings of my heart.

And if you went away,
left your body behind
trailing your crimson essence
hoping we’d
fall in love in another eternity
my arms would
forever be wide open
waiting for you to
rush into them
but it will be later said that
she died Christlike
of the plus and the cross.
As she eternally
Waited for her love
Who’d gone into
Another eternity
Searching for those arms.
