Need a book? I have a suggestion

I have never read heroic fantasy books until I was forced to do so. I was in one of my runner’s high moments when I finished “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand. I had these moments with more books that I incredibly enjoyed and the last time I had this was at home when my boyfriend happened to be sitting on the other side of the couch. So I turned to him and said you got to read this book. He agreed but with one condition. I had to read one of his fantasy books: “The name of wind” by Patrick Rothfuss.

When the first book was over, he handed me the second book: “ The wise mans fear”, this time there was no resistance and he knew it well. The story of Kvothe was magical, extremely humorous and exciting. I just couldn't let go reading. Every morning I couldn't wait to get on my train and read what happened to Kvothe on my way to work. In about 2000 pages, I could only find no more than 100 pages boring, out of context.

I always thought my distaste to fantasy came from this genre’s distance from reality. Since I was aware of this, I started paying attention to elements that were close to reality in the books. There were so many of them. I even got the inspiration to cook a dish, oven baked whole pumpkin stuffed with some herb butter. The last part was my addition but long story short, it tasted great for a recipe inspired by a heroic fantasy book. How cool is that!

If you have some book coupons laying somewhere in your house, guarantee you wont regret getting these books.
