The Collector’s Favorite Multiplier

With the Genesis Pack Opening just around the corner, it’s high time that we give you the read on Sets: what they are, what they aren’t, and how to build them. GolfN CCG contains a full array of uniquely themed clubs at all rarity levels. Sets are specific collections of these clubs which, when owned together, can yield additional rewards and benefits.

After opening your pack, you will likely want to know what the best strategy is for your cards. If you draw two Epic Drivers, should you trade one and try to get an Epic Putter? This article will directly inform your post-opening strategy and explain why Set building can be a formidable force multiplier.

Before we get started, you will notice throughout that the Attribute Badges have been removed in most examples used for the sake of clarity in this walkthrough.

Introducing Sets

In our last post we discussed how the core components of GolfN CCG are its array of NFT clubs, each representing digital golf equipment with varying levels of rarity. These categories — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and 1-of-1 — are the basis for escalating rewards. Beyond the benefits of individual rare cards, the true strategic depth of GolfN shines when players collect full Sets of clubs.

Within each rarity level, there are multiple Sets which can multiply point totals in both on and off-course applications. Completing a Set at any rarity level marks a milestone and unlocks increased benefits that single cards alone cannot provide. The highlight reel of benefits for Set owners includes entry into exclusive giveaways and tournaments, increased rental probability, as well as the future ability to save your Sets as units to accumulate rewards.

Building from a Full Bag to a Set

If you’re already familiar with the Rewards Calculation formula, you know that equipping a full bag of Legendary Clubs can result in much higher point earnings than equipping one Legendary club and two more common clubs. Here’s a closer look at how the numbers can look in each scenario:

An example of total points earned for playing one round with a partial Rare bag equipped : 2,955 | Note: Actual earnings may vary from the estimate in this example.
An example of total points earned for playing three rounds with a full Legendary bag equipped : 13,537 | Note: Actual earnings may vary from the estimate in this example.

Building from there, consider that there are two forms of each Legendary club, for a total of six clubs. You could own three Legendary clubs and make a full bag. If you own both forms of each Legendary club, you have the Complete Legendary Set. On the other hand, maybe you don’t have a Full Legendary Bag. Maybe you defied all odds and pulled both forms of the Legendary Driver and a Common Putter in one pack. In this case you would have the Legendary Driver Set (called a Club Type Set). Keeping this general model for Sets in mind, let’s take a look at the numbers for each rarity.

1-of-1

As is likely self-evident, the 1–of-1 is the rarest club in the game. In addition to its unlimited endurance, exclusive event invite privileges, and 2.5x reward multiplier, it also carries the distinction of being the easiest club with which to complete a Set, provided you can get your hands on it. This club is a Complete Set unto itself.

  • Driver Sets: 0
  • Iron Sets: 0

Legendary

Each Legendary club carries a theme all its own — the Cosmic and Jeweled Drivers, the Tsunami and Aurora Irons, and the Volcanic and Sidereal Putters. The specific theme for each club reflects their relative weight and rarity within GolfN CCG. To complete a Legendary Set, a player must either own both versions of a Legendary club or own one of each type of Legendary club.

Epic

The Epic sets feature three distinct artistic themes — Beach Day, Mountain Time, and Ice. Within each of these themes, there are opportunities to complete a Set within the definition of GolfN CCG. A player can complete a set either by collecting an Epic Driver, Iron, or Putter of each theme or by collecting one of each club type in the same theme.

Rare

The Rare Sets are themed with distinct locations which golfers frequently find on course — bunkers, fairways, greens, and water hazards. Depending on your skill level some of these scenes may be more recognizable to you than others (haha). Completing a set can mean either collecting all three variations of a Rare club or collecting one of each type of Rare club.

Set Collector’s Pro Tips

Elevated Earnings

In the GolfN ecosystem, success on the green translates to earnings off it—and vice versa. Players with Complete Sets enjoy enhanced Play-to-Earn rewards, a testament to their commitment and strategic gameplay. This could manifest as increased rewards for rounds played, bonuses for tournament participation, or exclusive access to premium leagues and events. Sets will also be able to carry unique value when saved and preserved as full units.

Community Standing

Completing Sets, especially those of higher rarity levels, carries a measure of prestige within the GolfN community. It’s a visible badge of dedication fostering a sense of achievement and recognition. Owning Sets can grant higher rank within the ecosystem and access to invite-only events and channels.

Market Watch

Successful collectors keep a close eye on the GolfN marketplace, watching for opportunities to acquire missing pieces at favorable rates. Knowledge of market trends can help in predicting the best times to buy or trade.

Community Engagement

Joining forces with other players can significantly ease the challenge of collecting rare cards. Community forums and trade negotiations become venues for strategic alliances, helping players complete their Sets more efficiently.

Patience and Timing

Rarity implies scarcity; thus, patience becomes a critical aspect of collecting, especially for Epic,Legendary, and 1-of-1 Sets. Timing acquisitions — whether through direct purchase, trading, or earning — can make all the difference.

Conclusion

Set building in GolfN’s Collectible Card Game involves a blend of strategy, foresight, and social engagement that runs alongside the standard GolfN experience. For players invested in the world of GolfN, the pursuit of complete Sets is not just another pathway to rewards, but a challenge unto itself with its own unique levels of access, opportunity, and incentives in the Ecosystem. Whether you’re aiming for the pragmatic benefits or the experiences, Set Building remains a compelling aspect, inviting players to venture further into the Game’s strategic depths.
