Best Real HoverBoards and HoverBikes Available 2017

There’s been a lot of hype over the last year or so about hoverboards. 2017 was supposed to be the year of the hoverboard, but all the hype ended up letting down a lot of us true hoverboard fans, We asked for the real deal, and what we got was a balance board with wheels and a battery that might explode.
There’s a ton of awesome technology in the works, most of which yet to be made available to the mainstream consumer. This innovation really gets me excited about the future of hoverboards. There are some really cool boards out there that actually fly, let’s take a look at a few of them:
Zapata Flyboard Air

The Zapata Flyboard Air is an independent propulsion unit made by Zapata Racing. It’s four years of hard work in the making, and the hard work has really paid off. This hoverboard has some truly amazing capabilities:
- 10 minutes of uninterrupted flying time
- Autonomous flight up to 10,000 feet
- Top speed of 93.2 MPH
The board has yet to receive government approval, likely because of the mind blowing stats listed above. We’re really looking forward to seeing this product available to consumers. For the time being, Zapata has some other really cool hoverboard products that are available. These include the Flyboard Pro Series, Hoverboard by ZR and the Jetpack by ZR.
Omni Hoverboards

The Omni Hoveboard is a propeller based hoverboard famous for achieving a Guiness World Record for farthest distance traveled on a hoverboard. The actual distance traveled for the record was 275.9 meters.
The board was invented by Catalin Alexandru Duru, a canadian inventor. He’s currently working on a new prototype to take his technology to the next level.
Aerofex Aero-X
The Aero X is more of a hover bike than a hoverboard, but the technology is really cool so I decided to add it to the list , It’s made by Aerofex, The vehicle can travel at up to 45 mph and up to 10 feet off the ground for 75 minutes. It’s a lot like a motorcycle, except for the whole lifting off the ground part, The Aero X also seats two people, a feature that none of the hoverboards above offer. You can’t buy the Aero X just yet, but it’s expected to be on the market in near future, You can put a deposit down for $5,000 and secure a spot in line for when they begin deliveries, The expected total price is $85,000 and deliveries are expected to begin in 2017.
ArcaBoard
The ArcaBoard uses high power electric ducted fans (36 of them) to create a hovering effect. The board has a maximum thrust of 430 lbs, 237 horsepower, and can hover over water and many other surfaces.
One of the coolest parts about the ArcaBoard, it’s available for sale on their website for a cool $14,900.
The board recharges in 6 hours, An upgraded charger can also be purchased that fully charges the ArcaBoard in an hour.
