I’ve been re-reading The Design of Every Day Things by Don Norman because it has been many years for me, and so that text is fresh in my mind. Otherwise I would not have realized something: I feel you should acknowledge that this post is made up almost wholly from his writings and his original design frameworks and concepts. I’m surprised you don’t reference or acknowledge him anywhere. This is important because I do believe that the history of design is lost on some younger designers. It’s OK to use established design principles and concepts to expand upon and share lessons, but you should properly acknowledge your sources.
