Why Karl Lagerfeld Says Men Shouldn’t Wear Fur

Karl Lagerfeld, the ageless king of wearing one outfit has come out with an opinion that’s been weighing heavy on him for quite some time now. According to the fashion icon, men shouldn’t wear fur because it’s tacky. Though fur has been synonymous with luxury and pedigree for centuries now, Lagerfeld says that’s simply not the case anymore in this day and age. In fact, he goes so far as to say men should leave their fur wearing behind in the 60’s, where they picked up the trend in the first place.

His opinion on fur is both random and unfounded, given that he doesn’t even go in-depth to describe why exactly wearing fur is tacky for men, nor why it’s okay for women to continue doing the same thing.
