Noticing there are now people saying using people’s trans / non-binary pro-nouns ‘is the law’ in Canada (post C-16). Including one lawyer, who presumably knows the law. Even if they’re wrong it shows Peterson’s ‘thin end of the wedge’ argument to be correct. And people who see this as dangerous will be bundled up in false projections which allow you to justify your fascism, like you did with your, ‘calling black people, ‘it’’ analogy. Never mind that Peterson has never objectified trans people as inhuman, and that his concerns are about free speech not gender, it’s much easier to objectify and dehumanise him as a bigot because that allows you to get your way. Hypocrisy, and another example of the double think that the left uses to excuse such violence.
You don’t need to answer my previous question about whether you’d like the law to have the power to enforce pronoun usage, even if right now it technically doesn’t, I can see where you’re coming from, and I can see where this is going. You have an agenda of social control and you’re prepared to lie to anyone, including yourself to see it happen. We should judge the tree by it’s fruit, and however you dress it up, the consequences of leftist authoritarian values are making themselves felt in society, from enforcing thought through legislated speech, to insisting parents support their children’s trans ideas on threat of removing said children (see, ‘Bill 89). The subjective, ‘high thresholds’ that are supposed to reassure us re the application of powers such as are finding their way into law are a fig leaf and a distraction. The government are gaining powers they should not have, powers to force a political ideology. ‘Thresholds’ can be imputed according to convenience. In our world of micro-agressions the definition of ‘hate’, or ‘abuse’ could be placed pretty much anywhere, especially in an environment where the established truth is that disagreeing with said establishment is by definition bigoted. When we’re told, ‘don’t worry, the government can be trusted to be reasonable with this power over your politics’ we should immediately sit up and prepare for the worst.
