Hello World!

Welcome to my blog where I write about videogames. No matter how fantastic or shit they are. I will cover them. If you have little to no interest in videogames then you are on the wrong blog. In fact, how did you even get here?! Unless you googled “bananas” and my blog came up second in Google search results…beaten by a link to a weird fetish site where models use bananas in a very kinky way. I bet you googled that. You did didn’t you?

Who the hell are you and why should I care about who you are?

My name is Daniel and I am a 26 year old gamer. I was born and raised in London (UK) and the son of spanish immigrants. I am a strong believer that you should live for what you love. I live to enjoy and complain about video games. I love other things too like theatre, being with my lovely girlfriend, friends/family and watching films.

To answer the second part of the question, You should care because I said so! :)

You sound like a gaming geek alright…how did it all begin?

It all started around the year 1991, my brother saved enough money for a Nintendo Gameboy. He bought the Tetris bundle along with my first video game ever, Super Mario Land. He left his Gameboy unattended, I picked it up and I somehow managed to turn the huge white brick on. I was only 2 years old. The green tinted screen lit up, a strange, foreign word called “Nintendo” rained down from the heavens and landed in the middle of the screen and made a 8-bit “kachinnng” sound. The game loaded up, I pressed start with my tiny fingers…and the rest as they say is history. Never looked back since.

I also owned a NES which I used to play at my paternal grandparent’s house. I am happy we had a NES there. Their food was so terrible but luckily for me, Super Mario Brothers 3 eased my troubled stomach and soul. I then got a Super Nintendo (SNES) followed by the PS1, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, PS2, Wii and Wii U. As you can tell by that extensive console list, I was a Nintendo Fanboy in the 90s. I used to have arguments with Sega fanboys about which console was better. Back when Sega and Nintendo were bitter rivals. I miss those days.

I now own a 3DS, Wii U, PS4, Vita, a crappy gaming PC and a never ending list of video games to play and finish. Below is a picture of me betraying the lord Nintendo in 1994.

So you write about video games, Do you enjoy it? What do you dislike about your passion?

I hate writing about video games. I set up this blog just to post opinions of games I wasted my time on. Sarcasm aside, I love what I do. I do not get paid a single penny but that’s ok. I have a full-time job to fund my passion. I am not driven by money, I am driven by my love and passion for video games.
