HomePod Updates?

Next week, Apple is running an update event. I agree with Macworld… we aren’t likely to see much magic for voice first. What we will likely see is an update of new hardware and maybe a quick catch up on the functionality of Siri.

What would be wonderful if Apple were to start to allow something similar to SiriKit for the HomePod — and demo it in a way that would allow it to function like Alexa Skills or Actions on Google. Developers who have already built these could potential extend to a HomePodKit.

This way, Apple could quickly take advantage of the 50,000+ Skills for Alexa and catch up in terms of functionality.
