Hiking Manitou Springs-Area Trails

A food and beverages professional who served six years as a sales representative with Con Agra Meats, Greg Cobble currently owns and operates Cobble Sales & Marketing. When he isn’t working, Greg Cobble enjoys hiking in and around the foot of Pikes Peak in the greater Manitou Springs, Colorado, area.

The trails there have received numerous positive reviews by hikers on the independent review site AllTrails.com. The Manitou Springs area boasts many scenic views, both of Pikes Peak and the surrounding forest and canyon lands. Popular regional trails include the family-friendly Centennial Trail and the grueling Barr Trail, which winds to the top of Pikes Peak.

Other favorites include the Rampart Reservoir Trail, a path that circles Rampart Reservoir, the source of drinking water for the city of Colorado Springs. This reservoir is positioned in Pike National Forest on a granite plateau approximately 9,000 feet above sea level. It is a popular spot for mountain bikers and boaters as well as hikers.
