Sharin’ the B Corp Button.

It’s been a year since Hemmings House became a certified B Corp. And what a beauty of a year it’s been. This community of business leaders are committed to using profitable businesses to produce positive change in our world. Pretty rad. After some discussion with some other B Corps here in Canada about how we can engage our elected officials, I reached out to MP Wayne Long. He gave me an hour and I explained to him everything one needs to know about the triple bottom line movement, and how if we continue to support the growth of B Corps, we will see a healthier Canada.

Wayne was down with it. In fact he reminded me that he was at our launch party a year ago! I re-watched the film from that night and sure enough, there he was! Out in the community doing what he should be doing…digging the scene and learning how he can help us grow businesses that are making real change happen in our own backyards. I gave him a pin. He put it on. He’s now one of us.
