Right? There is never a magic formula for getting into a poem. Sometimes the first line is in my head and the thing takes off from there and others it is a struggle to shape it and find its flow. The only real formula is to keep doing it, writing, it doesn’t necessarily get easier, nor should it because it should always be pushed further, but instincts get keener and the bs and knowing what to edit becomes more glaring.
