Over the last couple of months, my cofounder and I have been creating a ton of written content to drive traffic to our new product, Whttl. We blog about startups, tech, and occasionally, life as a founder.

Some of the most successful posts have been about driving for Lyft while we are bootstrapping, and renting my apartment on airbnb to make a profit.

When it’s relevant, I include my airbnb referral link in posts, which gives users $25 in free credits for signing up. I, too, get some credits out of the deal, anywhere between $25-$100.

After a couple months, I was pleasantly surprised to check my account and see that I had a whopping $2,900 in credits. (Not all of them have finalized yet, but I expect them to over the course of the next year or so.) We are pretty heads down right now with building Whttl, but when the dust settles in a few months, it’s time for a trip.

Perhaps after we hit some milestones, it makes sense for Tim & I to treat our early team to a vacation later down the road. So, I began daydreaming. Where should we go? Here’s a list of five spots that I thought were just terribly cool and had to share. My constraints were:
