Who Saved Room For Dessert?

Whttl serves up our latest course: the ability to order from providers like Sprig and SpoonRocket all in one spot.

If you are like most people, you like a sizable selection. You enjoy making a decision after all of the options are presented in front of you.

We do too.

That’s one of the many reasons that we began building Whttl in the first place. We saw dozens of great startup services popping up in all sorts of categories, and we figured it was kind of ridiculous to have to compare your options by going to one website or app at a time. We felt there was a very real need for a go-to source to cut through the noise and find just what you are looking for.

In October, we launched a smart database that allows you to find the startups that have launched in your specific neighborhood, and then use clever little filters to “whttl down” all your options to find the perfect one.

Pretty cool. But we weren't done just yet. We knew this was just the beginning of our mission to connect people with the services that make life easier, cooler, better, etc.

So we pressed on. We served up our tasty new feature, which allowed users to not only see the startups in the increasingly popular meal delivery category, but to actually access the real menus, all in one place.

Pretty snazzy indeed. But alas, this was just another small step in reaching our vision.

Today, we are excited to announce our third major iteration of the product. If you live in San Francisco, and some parts of the Bay Area, check out our meal delivery page. (Enter an eligible ZIP code to have access. Try “94102" if you just want to give it a dry run.) You’ll find that we’ve pulled in the menus from market leaders Sprig, Munchery, and SpoonRocket all in one spot. Click on the dishes and menu items you’d like to chow down on, and you’ll be able to order and pay directly from our site.

Hungry? Order something right now. Literally.

Order from Sprig, Munchery, and SpoonRocket in one spot!? Holy cow!

I personally can’t imagine anything cooler. (Except teleporting the food…stay tuned, we are working on that.*)

So why would you use this? Let me…ahem…spoon feed it to you.

Our early users have indicated that they enjoy our product for 2 reasons:

1) Ordering through more than one provider can be a pain. You've got to open up the app or website for each one, and manage two different transactions. If you want a chicken dish from Sprig and veggie lasagna from Munchery, you’ve got to order twice from two different products. With our website, everything is done in one spot.

2) Even if it’s just one dish you are after, it’s helpful to look at all the options to you from the three major providers. This effectively increases your selection by 3X. Many of our users had expressed that they liked the variety that is offered when you widen the breadth of the menu a bit, just as we did.

We're in early stages with the product, so please pardon our dust as we still may be working out some of the minor kinks. It’s been a fun journey thus far, and has been so much more rewarding thanks to the feedback, support, and encouragement from users just like you.

You Rock.

*I am, of course, kidding.

If you found value in this, it would be tremendous if you scrolled down a little further and hit the “Recommend” button.
