I didn’t even nibble the hook for Mariota, even though I’m a diehard Oregon fan who figured he probably had a 1 in 3 chance at having a phenomenal year. And don’t get me started on PGA Tournament odds. I have no idea what the actual odds are of any given pro winning any given tournament in any given year, but basic math tells me that anything less than 50–1 is a stupid waste of money.
