This is fairly common in management circles, especially these days, the so called leader is a “control freak” who neutralizes everyone else’s efforts and ‘management’ seems to go along with this, since it appears to get things done…and in many cases encourages it because many in the next level of management like to see things done that way, since it reminds them of themselves. In simpler terms, they are both lousy managers, who use their talent poorly, and have no idea how to delegate. Many organizations seem to thrive on star systems and are clueless as to how to form teams, manage them, and create responsible leaders who give credit where credit is due, and not try and hog it.
