How does the hydrogen/fuel cell electric vehicle fit into this paradigm? While not the type of biofuel that can be mixed with diesel or gasoline, hydrogen can be produced from excess solar PV capacity and other sustainable technologies. Does the need for hydrogen fueling infrastructure leave these vehicles too far behind the curve, when compared to battery based electric?
